Creating Your Steader Account: Getting Started

Welcome to Steader! We're excited to have you join our community of homesteaders, local food producers, and conscious consumers. This guide will walk you through the process of creating your account and setting up your profile.

Step 1: Download the App

The Steader platform is available as a mobile application for both iOS and Android devices:

1. iPhone & Android users: Visit the App Store/Play Store and search for "Steader"
2. Web users: You can also fully access Steader through our web platform at app.steader.com

Step 2: Create Your Account

Once you've downloaded the app or accessed the website, follow these steps to create your account:

1. Open the Steader app or visit the website
2. Tap or click on the "Sign Up" button
3. Enter your email address
4. Create a secure password (at least 8 characters with at least an uppercase, lowercase and digit)
5. Read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
6. Tap or click "Create Account"
7. Check your email for a verification code. Enter that 4-digit code in Steader.

Step 3: Set Up Your Profile Basics

After verifying your email, you'll be prompted to set up your profile:

1. Upload a profile photo (a clear headshot works best)
2. Enter your full name
3. Set your address*
4. Click the Save Changes button

*Note: your address helps us show you relevant content in the Steader application, like nearby homesteads, new listings and updates from homesteads around you.
