Steader's Trust & Safety Program focuses on maintaining marketplace quality through platform-based tools and community standards. Payment protection and disputes are handled by Stripe.
What This Program Covers
For Buyers:
- Access to seller communication for issue resolution
- Platform-mediated discussion for non-payment disputes
- Ability to leave honest reviews based on transactions
- Community reporting tools for policy violations
For Sellers:
- Support documentation for Stripe disputes when available
- Protection from policy-violating reviews
- Fair evaluation of account standing
- Access to best practices for dispute prevention
What This Program Does Not Cover
- Payment guarantees or financial protection (handled by Stripe)
- Refund processing or payment holds (handled by Stripe)
- Chargeback defense or payment dispute resolution (handled by Stripe)
- Any financial remedies or guarantees
Platform-Based Remedies
While Steader cannot control payment outcomes, we maintain marketplace quality through:
- Account actions for policy violations
- Listing removal for misrepresentation
- Search ranking adjustments
- Review moderation
- Account suspension or termination for serious violations
Both parties agree to use good faith efforts to resolve issues directly and understand that payment-related matters are under Stripe's control.
